In all cases, the "art" made by the "creators" in question are derivatives from other people's work--meaning, they're edits. They're people using someone else's art to make art.
They're either...
A) Ripping art (or are 'inspired by' art) from another game (sims or something).
B) Taking someone else's Furcadia art and editing it.
C) Editing official art.
The "artists" are then...
A) Accusing someone else of having "stolen" their work when someone else does similar edits using the same base.
B) Posting the art but saying "This isn't for free, it's mine!"
C) Posting it free for download but being really loud about not wanting other people to edit their "art" or re-release it without permission.
Let's phrase it this way: They don't want... unauthorized derivatives of their... unauthorized derivatives.
Hypocrite much? I mean, really.
What's worse is their derivitives aren't drawn to the Furcadia art canon and their "don't edit my 'art'" things would forbid correcting their 'art' to actually fit in the game properly.
The following link is an edit of an edit, an image from a patch that was inspired by and/or ripped from The Sims and edited for Furcadia and posted by the editor as a "don't edit my art" post here on dA. I have edited it to have correct outlines, somewhat correct shading, and shadows--I have pretty much "fixed" it to be technically correct to the Furcadia art canon.
I am posting this under Fair Use per Copyright Act of 1976, 17 U.S.C. § 107, "for purposes such as criticism, comment"

I had left a comment on the original "artist's" DA, questioning why they seem to be so concerned about people making unauthorized derivatives of her unauthorized derivatives. She hid it, oh noes.

Can someone please explain this to me?

~To rebel is to follow. To conform is to rebel... ~
On your birthday, special one,
I wish that all your dreams come true.
May your day be filled with joy,
Wonderful gifts and goodies, too.
On your day I wish for you, favourite people to embrace,
Loving smiles and caring looks,
That earthly gifts cannot replace.
I wish you fine and simple pleasures
I wish you many years of laughter
I wish you all of life's best treasures
I wish you happily ever after!

Love that lives in the heart cannot be so easily terminated by time. Even though the encounter is brief its impression shall last a lifetime. No one can change the direction of love that lives in the heart. If you have loved that in itself is the answer.

Don't push the red button!!
A birthday rhyme for you
on your special day
Monday's child is fair of face.
Tuesday's child is full of grace.
Wednesday's child is loving and giving.
Thursday's child works hard for a living,
Friday's child fears no foe.
Saturday's child has far to go.
And the child born on Sunday
is bonny and wise in every way.
